About Us
Turning Interest Into Action
United Under Arts is a global community service initiative dedicated to helping people, especially the elderly and underprivileged children, around the world through music and art. We believe that every person should have access and exposure to opportunities in the arts. We are run by high school students creating art-based events and collecting donations to bring joy and meaning to these underserved groups and facilitate connections across all ages and backgrounds.
Here at Redmond, we seek to abide by the United Under Arts mission statement (see above) and additionally bring a noticeable and advanced recognition to the Arts as we know that the Arts often go unrecognized in comparison to STEM-based fields. We hope to establish a creative, welcoming atmosphere for the youth residing in Redmond and to hopefully expand farther out in the future, all of Western Washington. The Redmond chapter was established on May 25th, 2020 by rising senior at Redmond High School Nandini Goel, the founder and president of the Redmond chapter. The chapter officially began its work on June 25th, 2020 with the first meeting. We want to use arts as a source of relief and healing amidst these uncertain times in the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, we hope to help youth find something they love in and about the Arts while establishing a safe environment for artistic minds in Redmond, Washington.
